Seasonal Expressions 2 is now LIVE!

This layout uses the stamp set to create custom titles and embellishments to match the papers. The layout design is simple with just three strips of paper on the left side and a gray inlay for the pictures. However, when you look closely there is a lot of beautiful detail including gray splatters on the base page and a black pen outline of the inlay.

Happiness = Ice Cream Layout

I’ve been playing with the June Stamp of the Month again. The result is this bright cheerful layout.

The yellow chevrons and pink hears of the fundamental whimsy papers give this project instant pop. If you look closely, you will also see the glitter of white shimmer trim. It shows up much more in person. 

The “black board” message was created with white pigment ink on black cardstock. To balance the blackboard, I stamped the images in black also with pigment ink. Then I colored them with the watercolor pencils and spread the color around with the blending pen.

I hope you enjoy this project — it was a fun one to make. If you’d like to recreate it, be sure to order your stamp set before the end of June.

Ice Cream Dream Greetings

Today, I had fun making this cute card using the June Stamp of the Month, Ice Cream Dream.

This card layout is Center Squares on p. 36 of the Originals How To Book.  Here’s a peek at the inside.

The combination of the Seaside paper and the ice cream stamps team really says “summer” to me. To complete the weathered look, I sanded the edges a bit and then sponged with desert sand ink.

To get this look, I stamped the images with Chocolate Pigment inks. Then I colored the desserts with watercolor pencils.Then I used theblending pen to erase the pencil lines.

After trimming the images, I attached them to the card with 3D foam tape. A few oceanside sequins finish off card.
