Out of this World Cards! You are going to love the Aurora workshop.

Take your creativity to another galaxy with the Aurora cardmaking workshop kit. 

This workshop includes materials and instructions to make 16 standard size cards, 4 of each of the designs shown above. Not only are they cards beautiful, but they include such positive sentiments. In this current pandemic, I bet you know someone who could use a “smile across the miles”! 

In the kit you get an exclusive stamp + Thin Cuts set, paper from the Aurora collection, cardstock, Silver Glitter Gems, card bases, envelopes plus full color printed instructions.

A little extra sparkle was added to these cards using a Mint Shimmer Brush.  This was used to paint some pieces like the world and also to add splatters.

To make the cards as shown, you’ll also need Glacier, Charcoal & Peacock ink pads plus adhesives, including Thin 3-D Foam Dots or Tape. Now let’s take a closer look at the cards.

Updated Schedule: New dates for virtual and live events

Covid-19 has changed how we meet up to craft together. Several events have been canceled or postponed and new virtual opportunities have been scheduled. Read this post to get all the updates then mark your calendar so you don’t miss them!

As we start to emerge from sheltering in place, it is unclear how quickly our lives will get back to normal and what “normal” will look like in our post-pandemic world. First Baptist Church of Arnold Crops

I’ve  missed getting together with my cropping buddies the last couple of months. The June crop has been canceled due to Covid-19. Mark you calendar an plan to attend the remaining crops in 2020.

Rubber Stamping Event 

This event has been rescheduled for September 19 – 20 at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, IL. Tickets to this fun shopping event are just $5 online ($8 at door). I have missed seeing you live, but am glad we have the technology that allows us to get together virtually. There are some advantages for meeting at a distance, including no packing! Also, most of these virtual events are recorded so you can watch on your schedule.

Wear Your Creativity

This week I hosted two Base & Bling necklace workshops. We had a lot of fun and the overall consensus was that they are much easier to make than they look. I scheduled the workshop for an hour and a half, but everyone completed their project in about an hour. So we had some time to try them on and show them off our creativity to each other 🙂

My friend Lindsey took these pictures of the lovely necklaces made by the three generations of ladies in her family. Don’t you love how each one is unique and tells you a little about the creator?

Base & Bling workshops are almost here!

In the Autumn/Winter Idea Book, Close To My Heart introduced a new line of products called Base & Bling which allows you to make lightweight fashion accessories decorated with fabric and adhesive backed jewels and accents. I love the necklace I made a convention! 





I am adding a workshop to my fall schedule to show you how to make a necklace for yourself. The cost is $15 for the first person in a family, and just $13 for each additional member. You will get to choose from several choices of color and accents for your necklace.

I believe this will be a popular workshop, so I’m offering several dates and times.
