Thursday in my August summary post, I shared with you the basics of our new Scrapbooking Subscription Program, Craft with Heart. Today I’d like to share more of the details and show you the layouts for the first four months of the program, September through December.

When the new Craft with Heart scrapbooking subscription was announced our annual convention in June, I was so excited and have been eagerly anticipating sharing it with you. When this program is fully rolled out in September you will have the option of receiving your layouts monthly or every 4 months (following our Seasonal/Holiday Idea Book publication schedule). You will also have the choice to pay monthly, every 4 months or annually. You can start your subscription a month early and have your first set of 8 layouts mailed right away.

Why Pay Annually?

The annual subscription is the best deal for several reasons.

  1. 20% discount. You pay just $7.18 per layout!

What are Cut Above Layouts?

This subscription is for two page 2-page 12″ x 12″ decorative Cut Above kits. Included in the kits are printed base pages, pre-cut pieces, die-cuts, stickers and photo placeholders. All you need is adhesive and a journaling pen —- and of course your photos. The pages really do come together super quickly.

The pages for each month coordinate with the paper packs in the 2019 Holiday Expressions Idea Book that will go live in September. This is great because if you want to do a series of matching pages, you can also do the Scrapbooking Workshop Your Way kits for a total of 5 to 8 coordinating layouts (10 to 16 pages).

National Scrapbooking Month Cut Above Layouts

Recently, I announced the National Scrapbooking Month celebration I’m hosting on May 6. On this day, you’ll have the opportunity to create cards and/or layouts using the beautiful new Live Beautifully collection by Close To My Heart. These products are not available to purchase until May 1, but by signing up for this workshop, you’ll be among the first to work with them!

NOTE: Because I need to order supplies, the deadline to sign up for these workshops is tomorrow!

Today, I wanted to share more about the Live Beautifully Cut Above layouts (Option 2) that you can create at the event. Similar to our other “Cut Above” kits, this five layout (10 page) workshop is a new, easy way to make coordinating layouts to preserve your memories. The kit includes printed base pages, die-cut paper pieces, stickers and gold foil accents.

Here’s a closer look at the five layouts you will make at the workshop:

Can you say “Gorgeous”?

If you have never scrapbooked before, the Live Beautifully Cut Above layout kit is the perfect way to get started! However, if you are an experienced scrapbooker, these beautiful layouts will fit perfectly with your other hand-made layouts. Although they take just a few minutes to assemble, they don’t look like it.

At the May 6 National Scrapbooking Day Celebration, you have the option to sign up to make an additional four layouts with theEnhanced Layout Kit (Option 3). This kit includes the paper and embellishments complete the pages. Although this is a more “advance” workshop, the included directions will walk you step-by-step from cutting the paper, stamping through adding finishing touches. Watch this blog for pictures of these additional pages.

The best deal of the day is to sign up to make a Complete Album (Option 1). Under this option, you will receive both the Cut Above and Enhanced Layout Kits. Create 6 pages with the Forever & Always Cut Above Kit!

Yesterday, Iposted two bonus layouts I created using the cards included in the Little Ones Cut Above Scrapbooking Kit. Using these designs and a few additional sheets of cardstock, I was able to stretch my kit to create a total of 6 pages.

I’ve also created additional bonus layouts for the Forever & Always kit!

The Forever & Always Cut Above Kit includes the materials you need to create a two-page layout, 12 4″ x 6″ cards plus 4 Memory Protector (2 full size & 2 divided into pockets). 

The three layouts in this post use the contents of the kit plus a few sheets of solid cardstock (White, Slate & Whisper).

Forever & Always Layout

The first layout follows the directions included in the kit using wood grain base pages, delicate die-cut doilies, layers of flowers and gold foil accents. 

This I Promise You Layout

For the second layout, a striped card into 1/2″ strips which create a frame for the title and photos. The title comes from a card which was trimmed down and matted on white and Slate cardstock. Additional cards were used to create banners, floral & dotted accent areas and a journaling box.

Love Layout

The primary design for the final layout was created by four cards which had wood grain backgrounds. These were butted next to each other and once attached securely to the page, the seam is practically invisible. Narrow pieces of Slate cardstock frame these cards. Additional cards were used to create additional flower embellishments and wide banners. The center areas is just wide enough to fit six 4″ x 6″ photos.

Create 6 pages with the Little One Cut Above Kit!

Earlier today, I posted the details of the Little One Cut Above kit as it was designed to be used. For those of you who prefer traditional scrapbooking, I’ve turned this kit into 3 two-page layouts by adding just a few sheets of cardstock.

You may recall that these kits include the materials needed to create one 2-page layout plus 12 cards (4″ x 6″) that you can put in the insert into pocket Memory Protectors along with your pictures. Although I love including pocket scrapbooking in my albums, I like to include my very favorite pictures on traditional pages. The cards include all the elements needed to create scrapbook pages: titles, embellishments (just trim them down) and journaling. 

Using the pocket cards included in the kit, plus a few sheets of White, Slate and Whisper cardstock, I created two BONUS layouts!

You are So Loved Layout

This layout was created by trimming a number of the journaling cards. The basic design of the pages started with three patterned cards which were cut into 2″ x 2″ blocks and stacked them across the bottom of both pages. A sentiment card (“you are so loved”) was trimmed down to 4″ x 4″ for the title. Additional cards were trimmed to create the embellishments, jounnaling and a photo mat. 

My Sweet Baby Layout

This layout also uses a pocket card for the title (“my sweet baby”). Two additional full sized cards are used in this layout. Additional cards were trimmed to create the arrow (“on this day”) and the ombre banners on each side.
