True Love Collection

This month’s collection, True Love, is timelessly beautiful!

At first glance, you’ll see that it is the perfect suite for your wedding and anniversary projects. However, besides a few themed images (rings, wedding dress,…), it is perfect for any formal occasion (prom, graduation, etc.) or even family portraits.

The collection includes a paper pack, coordinating solid cardstock, Complements (chipboard & sticker accents) and stamp sets. In addition there are three workshops: Cardmaking, Scrapbooking and Deluxe Scrapbooking.

Which one of these projects gets you excited? Of course you can also buy just the products you like and create your own designs! Close To My Heart’s coordination makes it easy to mix things up.

This month’s exclusive stamp set, It’s Your Day to Sparkle works well with this paper suite. This set includes a cake which can be decorated for birthdays or weddings. There are lots of words to complete your cards and layouts. Plus numbers to represent ages or anniversary years.

This stamp set is only available in June, so get yours now! Also, you can save $13.95 when you add it to an order of $50 or more! Here’s a wedding layout which combines the True Love paper with this fun stamp set.

Create 6 pages with the Forever & Always Cut Above Kit!

Yesterday, Iposted two bonus layouts I created using the cards included in the Little Ones Cut Above Scrapbooking Kit. Using these designs and a few additional sheets of cardstock, I was able to stretch my kit to create a total of 6 pages.

I’ve also created additional bonus layouts for the Forever & Always kit!

The Forever & Always Cut Above Kit includes the materials you need to create a two-page layout, 12 4″ x 6″ cards plus 4 Memory Protector (2 full size & 2 divided into pockets).

The three layouts in this post use the contents of the kit plus a few sheets of solid cardstock (White, Slate & Whisper).

Forever & Always Layout

The first layout follows the directions included in the kit using wood grain base pages, delicate die-cut doilies, layers of flowers and gold foil accents.

This I Promise You Layout

For the second layout, a striped card into 1/2″ strips which create a frame for the title and photos. The title comes from a card which was trimmed down and matted on white and Slate cardstock. Additional cards were used to create banners, floral & dotted accent areas and a journaling box.

Love Layout

The primary design for the final layout was created by four cards which had wood grain backgrounds. These were butted next to each other and once attached securely to the page, the seam is practically invisible. Narrow pieces of Slate cardstock frame these cards. Additional cards were used to create additional flower embellishments and wide banners. The center areas is just wide enough to fit six 4″ x 6″ photos.

If you have any questions about these layouts, I’d be glad to send you measurements and additional tips. Comment below or drop me an email.

Don’t forget that the Forever & Always Cut Above kit used for these layouts is half price during April — just $7.48! You’ll also want to check out the Little One kit which is also on sale. Both of these kits retire at the end of the month (or sooner if supplies run out), so be sure to orders yours today!

To the Happy (Uptown) Couple

Today, I have another card made with the Fundamental Basics papers to share. In contrast to the Rustic Home cards I posted yesterday, this sparkles boldly in black and white with gold accents.

This dressy little card was actually very simple to make. First, I decked out a plain white card base with a piece of the gold dotted vellum from the Uptown Fundamentals Paper pack. Then, I stamped the sentiment, heart and rings from the Wedding Wishes (B1547) stamp set on a piece of white cardstock and attached it to the front. Finally, the card was finished off with a little of the black and gold ribbon from the Uptown Fundamentals Ribbon pack.

Super simple, but very elegant!

Don’t forget you can get the Uptown Fundamental paper pack free in August when you purchase the Whimsy, Adventure and Enchantment fundamentals. Trust me, when you see them you will want them all. So stock up this month by taking advantage of this special! Click here to learn more>>

Keep creating,

Rebecca

Here’s some of the items I used to create this card that you can purchase on my CTMH website.

Clean and Simple Congratulations

Today, I wanted to show you a really quick and easy wedding congratulations card I made using The Happy Couple stamp set. (Did I tell you I love this set?)

This simple card was made by stamping with Slate ink on Cranberry and White Daisy cardstock. The cake pieces were attached with foam tape to add dimension. I finished it off with a little ribbon and sparkles.

I love simple! Don’t you?

The Happy Couple…For Always

Ever since I saw the new Idea Book, I knew I wanted to make some cards using the For Always paper and The Happy Couple stamp set. They had to have been literally made to go together.

Here’s my first creation.

What do you think? This card was easy peasy. I just pieced together some rectangles of B&T over a black base. Then stamped the sentiment on white and mounted on Cranberry cardstock. Finally, added a little ribbon and a few Sparkles. Done!

There are so many great images on The Happy Couple stamp set for wedding, anniversary, showers, or Valentines Day cards. You could even build a fun birthday cake with the rectangles.

Which one(s) should I use next?

Going to the Chapel…

Today, I’d like to share with you the cards that we will be making at the next Cards by the Dozen workshop. The theme is Wedding and Anniversary. Enjoy!

This first card is made with just Black and White Daisy cardstock. I used my Martha Stewart scoreboard to add the embossed hash marks to the cake and Bitty Opaque Pearls to dress it up. For the bow, I’ll have a rainbow of ribbon colors for you to choose from and Sentiment stamps for the inside.

This next card is made from the discontinued Bliss paper and Trellis stamp set. I used a little Liquid Glass to add some spark to the centers of the flowers. It could be used for both weddings and anniversaries.

Finally, I used the stamp set from the Bliss Workshop On The Go and Perfect Day papers (both discontinued) for this last card. A little ribbon, paper flowers and more Bitty Opaques dress it up.

The workshop will be at my house in Arnold, MO (send mean email for the address) on August 5 from 2:30 – 5:00 pm. For just $12, you will make 12 cards (4 each of the 3 designs).   If you are coming, please RSVP so I can  prepare the materials. I hope to see you there!

Potential Cards

Good morning! Today, I want to share with you a couple cards I made recently with Potential, the March Stamp Of The Month.

This first one could be used for wedding or anniversary.

This card is really easy to make using solid Grey Flannel and Daisy White cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Blush. I dressed it up a little with some flowers from the Bitty Buds Assortment (Z1690). Here’s a close up of those lovely embellishments.

For my second card, I also used the new 4 My Friend stamp set (D1510). This set of 10 stamps covers all your major reasons for sending a card.

As you may have noticed from several of my latest projects, I’m in love with the Garden Wooden Shapes (Z1718). They come in a neutral shade, but you can ink them to match anything. For this card, I ran them across the Blush stamp pad a few times and added a few Sparkles.

Don’t forget the Potential stamp set is only available during the month of March. It is $17.95 or just $5 with an additional purchase of $50. You get all of the images shown below.
