I can not “Bear” to have you miss the next Card Workshop

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about my All You Can Make card workshops so I’d like to give you an update since I’ve moved my card “buffet” from a table to a wall. This new set up is working so well!  Going vertical makes it easier for my guests to select what card they would like to make.

Once a card is selected, the sample can be pulled down because they are conveniently mounted on the displays at the top with Velcro. You may notice that there are a couple empty spots — I will be filling these with ChristmasCardsbefore the next workshop! In fact, I will add a half dozen holiday cards by the November workshops and in December, the board will be nearly filled with HOLIDAY CARDS!

Beneath the cards on display, there are two rows of bags. These bags contain the card bases, envelopes, stamp set, papers, embellishments to make the card. They are numbered to match numbers that are on the back of the sample cards. They also contain a list of ink pads and other items from the “tool table” needed. Once you have gathered up the sample card, bag of materials and tools, you can make as many of the selected card as you’d like. At the workshop, you will have 2 full hours to make as many cards as you’d like!

Tonight I added kits for this adorable masculine card to the buffet. It is likely the last non-holiday card I add this year. It is made with the recently retired Jack paper and Cardmaking stamp + thin cut set. (Although offiicially retired, this set is still available to purchase!).

This stamp set is one of my favorites! As you can see, there are several other sentiments you could choose in place of the one I used. If you want to get really ahead, you could even make your Father’s Day cards for next year!

If you live in the St. Louis/Arnold area, I’d love to have you join us at my next All You Can Make Card Workshop! I am hosting two each month through December.  If you can’t make it to my card workshops, the card buffet wall is always open! You can make these cards a la carte for just $2.50 each during my crops and other events.

For more details and sign up for card workshops, crops or other events, head over to my Yapsody website. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me. Hope to see you here!

March Thin Cut Madness!

Thin cuts give you a fast and easy way to cut all kinds of
shapes for your crafting. Although we just started carrying thin cuts about a
year ago, we now have a wide variety including titles, sentiments, basic shapes
and cuts that coordinate with stamp sets!

Titles and Sentiments

Whether you are a card maker or scrapbooker, you’ll love
these script words.

Even though they have the look of a fine tip marker they
will cut cleanly every time. Even glitter paper cuts beautifully — don’t you
love the glittery Sea Glass “happy” scrolling across this layout?

Basic Shapes

Want some great basic shapes to dress up your project. We have thin cut sets with circles, stars and hearts!

Coordinated with Stamp Sets

Finally, we have a number of sets that coordinate with our stamp sets. Cut out the shape then stamp on it to create a custom embellishment for your project!

For example, the the cupcake, party hat and candle from the Sweet Birthday Stamp Set  pictured above can be cut with precision using the coordinating thin cuts. Thanks to our clear acrylic stamp sets, positioning the design on the cut image is a piece of {cup}cake!

There are currently eight Thin Cut sets that coordinate with Stamp Sets.

Cut It Out Special

This month, all of the thin cuts — titles, sentiments, basic and coordinating — are all available at 25% off! In fact, there are several thin cut/stamp set bundles like the Sweet Birthday one are also discounted!

New Die-cuts for favorite Stamp Sets!

Love stamping, but hate “fussy cutting”? Thin cuts are a great way to have perfectly cut stamped images and we have just introduced four new sets that coordinate with stamp sets in the Annual Inspirations Idea Book.

You can use these thin metal dies with your favorite die-cutting machine (I use Cuttlebug) to quickly and easily cut shapes ont he stamp sets. The Thin cuts are packaged on their own magnetic sheet and work well with most die-cutting machines.

The first new set of thin cuts coordinates with the School Kids stamp set (D1706). Images include all three children, an apple and the school house.

We also have a new thin cut to go with the Wreath stamp set (A1193). I love this stamp set, but cutting out the wreath is so tedious. Now, I can literally just crank them out.

The next thin cut coordinates with images on the Sweet Birthday (B1532) stamp set. Images include the candle, cupcake and party hat.

The last one is my favorite. These new thin cuts coordinate with the Swirly Seashells (C1664) stamp set. Note that each of the shells on this stamp set can now be cut from the thin cuts!
