True Love Collection

This month’s collection, True Love, is timelessly beautiful!

This Month We’re “So Much Happy” — check out this featured collection

I’m so happy to introduce you to this month’s featured paper collection, “So Much Happy”. Everything about these brightly colored coordinating products is designed to bring a smile to your face. Here’s a few projects showcasing So Much Happy and the March Stamp of the Month, This Happened.

Here in Missouri, we’ve had a long, cold winter and these projects are like a fresh breath of spring. I just noticed last night that my daffodils blades are a few inches tall so I know that it won’t be long until I can see these same colors outside my window. Highlight Reel Stamps are Perfect for New Home and More

Just a quick post today to show this New Home layout created by the Close To My Heart art department.

You may recognize the stamping on this layout to be from the July Stamp of the Month, Highlight Reel. Note that you could easily use this same layout for other celebrations by swapping out the stamped images. The title (“Highlight Reel”) and sentiment (“a day to remember”) would work for many occasions.  Let’s take another look at the stamp set: 

Replace the house, suitcase and car with…

… balloons and heart for a birthday layout.

… paw print and heart for a pet adoption layout.

… airplane and suitcase for a travel layout.

… music notes and hearts for a concert layout.

Highlight Reel stamp set is here in July — just $5 with qualifying purchase!

I’ve mentioned before that our Stamps of the Month generally are versatile. They have images and sentiments that can be appreciated by scrapbookers as well as card-makers. This month’s stamp, Highlight Reel, is no exception.

Because of the scale of these images, this one really lends itself to mini-albums. The album, created by the Close To My Heart artists, is a great example of what you can do with a few sheets of paper, ink pads and this stamp set. The smaller images allows the miniature pages in the album to have plenty of room for photos.

One great thing about mini-albums like this is that you can create one in a single setting. Once you’ve gathered your supplies and photos, you can assemble it fairly quickly. So no guilt of having an unfinished project waiting for you. So carve out some time to create this week! Trust me, your week will go so much better.

A Bushel & a Peck Stamp Set — $5 only in June

If you have been following my blog or are familiar with Close To My Heart, you already know that each month we have an exclusive stamp set that is only available during that month. Not only does this stamp set have an amazing set of sentiments that would work for both cardmakers and scrapbookers, but we have the sweet little girl to color!!! I love to color. Plus apples, a pie, sign and leaves blowing in the wind. Summer just started, but now is a good time to work on your fall projects — maybe you have pictures from last fall that still need to be scrapped or you can make some cards that will be perfect when there starts to be a chill in the air.

As awesome as this stamp set is, I still needs some inspiration. Thanks to the Close To My Heart artists, we have two lovely cards to get us started.

My daughter will be leaving our home and setting out on her own a couple hours away for college. This mama’s heart is full….I know it will be hard for both of us. One of these sweet “just because I love you” cards may end up in her bag.

Be Patient with Yourself Card

Here’s a card I made using the January Stamp of the Month, Bloom & Grow.

To achieve this look, I stamped the seed packet frame with Versamark on white paper and sprinkled it with clear embossing powder, then heating it to set.  I sponged ink over the top of this starting with Canary in the center and working in Juniper and Crystal Blue toward the outer edge. Because of the “resist” pattern created with the embossing, the design stayed white while the rest of the paper absorbed the color. Once this was completed, I stamped the sentiment with Black ink.

The paper, ribbon and dots used on this card are all from the new Chelsea Gardens collection.
