Sweet Life Blog Hop

Welcome to our July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

This month’s stamp from Close to My Heart is “Sweet Life” and is available exclusively through your Close to My Heart consultant from July 1 – 31, 2013.  You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase of $50.

This stamp set was screaming at me to use our Alcohol Markers. I had so much fun coloring that I made extra and ended up with three cards to show you (in addition to Thursday’s 3″x 3″ card). To help keep the colors from bleeding, I stamped the images in black pigment ink.

Love you to the core

I really wanted the colored images to pop out, so I selected the black and white For Always paper as my backdrop.

Friendship is the sweetest of fruits

To keep the colorful fruit the focal point, I used simple embellishments – just a few buttons and black hemp.

You’re a peach

Finally, I edge distressed by sponging the cards and all paper pieces with black ink.

Sweet Life Blog Hop – Preview!

This month, I’ve joined a blog hop showcasing artwork made by Close To My Heart consultants using the July Stamp of the Month, Sweet Life. It will not go live until Saturday morning, but I had so much fun using this stamp set that I had an extra 3″x 3″ card and thought I’d go ahead and show it to you today.

This stamp set seems to have been made just for the alcohol markers so I dug them out and started coloring. It was so fun, I really have to do this more often!

Here’s another look at all the images in this stamp set. When stamped they look like detailed pencil sketches. Just lovely!

Chantilly Sunshine

Tonight I made some quick cards using My Sunshine, the April Stamp of the Month. Not only are the images on this stamp set super cute, they are coordinate with shapes on the Artiste Cricut cartridge. So your projects will come together quick and easy.
