It’s time for the September Stamp

The August Stamp of the Month, Purr-fect Halloween, is a whimsical spin on the spooky holiday. This stamp set allows you to create your own costumed feline and has sentiments that work well for both cards and layouts.
Notice the red lines around some of the images? That means that these images are on the Art Philosophy cartridge! So simply cut out the image and then add the detail with the stamp.

No, the pages in the new Nevermore Scrapbooking workshop!
In my earlier post about this workshop, I mentioned that I was trying to capture the feel of the Disneyland Haunted Mansion ride — fun and spooky mixed with creative charm. Designing these layouts was a lot of fun and I’m excited to share them with you.
This kit includes all the papers and embellishments to complete 3 full two-page layouts! Over 20 sheets of paper go into each kit plus full packs of Nevermore Assortment and Complements.
Each layout has a different Halloween theme: a haunted house scene, spooky steampunk and cute boo crew for your costume pictures. Between the Cricut cuts and coordinating Nevermore products, each layout has lots of fun details.
The pages come together “freaky fast” because:

Spooks come out for a screaming wake
Happy haunts materialize and begin to vocalize

If you recognized those words, you may be almost as big of a Disney fan as I am. It’s the first verse of the theme song on the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. This ride has a magical mix of fun and scary I was trying to capture in my new Nevermore scrapbook workshop.
Here’s a sneak peek of the first of three layouts that will be in the this Halloween kit.
The spooky scene in this layout is made up of images from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge cut from the papers from the Nevermore collection. Details were added using pieces from the coordinating Complements pack.
I had a lot of fun designing this exclusive kit and will be sharing the remaining layouts as well as how to order soon. Stay tuned for the rest of the spooky details of this kit!

Throughout the month of September, I’ll be focusing on the Nevermore Collection.
To start off, here’s a project made by the amazing artists at Close To My Heart.
This layout has so many fun details. I love the layered tags which are are a repeated element with a few on the top left and the bottom right corners of the photo. This really frames the picture and keeps it the focus.
The stitching is another great detail, but the “little monsters” in the foreground steal the show! These were stamped then colored with our new Watercolors. Here’s a closer look at these little cuties:

You can make this and other Halloween projects using the Nevermore collection which includes a paper pack, Complements and Assessories pack. Each paper pack includes 12 sheets of paper: 6 double sided B&T prints and 6 coordinating solids.
Starting with the new Idea Books, Close To My Heart has redesigned the Complements packs. Instead of all of the pieces being of the same material, we now get a mix of stickers, kraft die-cuts and plastic vellum pieces. The picture below shows a sample, but the actual pack includes much more than what is shown.
The Nevermore Assortment pack includes 9 gems with detailed black and white images. These are adhesive-backed so are ready to finish off your projects.

Today, I want to show you a another card I made with this month’s stamp of the month,“What a Hoot”. Yesterday, I showed you a quirky owl birthdy card. For today’s card, I used the Halloween accessory stamps to create this funky owl dressed up as a bat.
I used the same design (Gallery, p 199 of Wishes) as yesterday, but turned it on end for a portrait-oriented card. I also used the same colors and paper pack, but replaced the birthday hat and caards with a mask, bat wings and pumpkin. What a fun disguise, lol!
