Merry Christmas with Artiste Santa Suite Christmas Card

Merry Christmas from Stone Mountain, Georgia! Our family decided to go South for the holidays this year. We had visions of hiking in the great outdoors, but have instead been enjoying being inside our hotel watching the rain and lightening!

Honestly, it has been a great Christmas Eve. This hotel has a conference center which is empty so we got some exercise exploring the hallways and stairs and had a quiet afternoon in our own nook where I scrapbooked while the others read. I even got to play Christmas carols on a beautiful baby grand. Although this was not what we had planned, this will be a Christmas to remember.

Whether you are living out your traditions or, like us, trying something new, I hope you are enjoying your evening as much as we are. May your Christmas be magical!

The Santa Suit card above is made up of a few simple cardstock rectangles, plus a belt buckle and buttons from the Artiste Cricut cartridge. The buckle was cut from silver glitter paper to add a little Christmas sparkle.

Have a magical Christmas!

Santa Pop Up Card

I am having lots of fun with products from the new Holidays from the Heart mini-catalog.  I have a fun interactive card to show you today.

Once again, I turned to silver embossing powder. Love this stuff! It really made Santa and his sleigh pop off the Ruby paper.

I really wanted to make the sleigh fly and decided to use a pop-up card from the Artiste Cricut cartridge. First, I cut the “LOVE” card insert on page 51 of the handbook (Shift, Accent) from the dotted B&T paper.

Then I covered the word LOVE with the stamped cardstock. Here’s a view from the side.

Materials:

Sparkle & Shine Paper Pack

Santa Claus Stamp Set

Versamark and Silver Embossing Powder

Silver Shimmer Trim

Slate Ink

Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Cricut Artbooking Cartridge

Holidays From The Heart – Santa Gift Box

Welcome to the Holidays From The Heart blog hop!  I’m so excited to see what everyone made with the new products in the 2013 Close To My Heart Gift Guide! These items go on sale today!

This mini-catalog comes with a great new deal: When you spend $100 you get one of the starred items from the Gift Guide FREE!

Ever since the Artiste Cricut cartridge was released, I have been wanting to make this box found on page 55 of the handbook.

I’m not sure if there is a name for this type of box, but I’m calling it the “All-in-one” box because the lid is connected to the box.

Fortunately, the cartridge comes with an assembly instruction book. After a few trials and errors, I got it figured out.

Once assembled, lifting the lid opens the box so it can be filled with Christmas goodies. Isn’t that the coolest thing ever?

Supplies:

Sparkle & Shine Paper Pack (X7176B)

Santa Claus Stamp Set (C1567)

Slate & Juniper Ink Pads

Artiste Cricut cartridge
