A weekend party is just what a busy girl like you needs. This time of year, it’s so hard to get together with friends. A virtual party, allows you to spend some time together without having to clear your calendar. Your guests participate at the times that are convenient for them.

A virtual party has many of the same elements as a live party including:

  • Fun & friendship: Can’t have a party without some fun! Your guests will participate with you in games and other silliness. 
  • Prizes: Just like a live party, I’ll give away a few door prizes to reward your guests for participating.
  • Product showcase: Using video and still images, I’ll tell your guests about all of our exclusive products.
  • Create & Take: We are a CREATIVE company, so it wouldn’t be right to have a gathering without making something. I’ll mail a ready to finish card to everyone who participates in your party.
  • Shopping: Your guests will be able to shop for themselves or people on their Chrisstmas list from the comfort of their home. 

Here’s how it will work:

WEEK BEFORE: I’ll set up your Facebook party and you invite your friends. I’ll go ahead and post some introductory information and build momentum for the weekend


WEEKEND: Starting on Black Friday (11/23), I’ll post information about specific products, gift giving guides & current specials. We’ll play a few games over the weekend giving your guests chances to earn a door prize. I’ll also present the project and mail out kits to your guests. Your guests can shop catch up and order through Cyber Monday. 


TUESDAY AFTER: I’ll send you the party total so you can pick out your free hostess rewards and half price items!

The last few years, Close To My Heart has had Flash Sales on both Black Friday & Cyber Monday. Although these are never announced ahead of time, it is very likely that we will see some really good deals that weekend. Your guests will get to shop these — earning you even more rewards!

Here’s a sneak peek at the cover of the new Holiday Expressions Idea Book. This year’s book has been expanded to 160 pages and has a bonus paper collection, five total! There is so much great stuff in it — I’m so excited to share it with you in September!

Remember this is a HANDS ON event. Throughout the evening, you will be creating three great fall and holiday projects: a card, a layout and a surprise project! This if this as a workshop with a few BINGO games thrown in for fun.

New Product Reveal: 2 Nights & 2 Locations

This week, our new Seasonal Expressions Idea Book was released. It is filled is fun new spring papers and coordinating products! While you can see pictures of these new products online, it is much more fun to see them in person.

That’s why later this month, I’m holding TWO LIVE EVENTS which will give you opportunities to touch, create with and maybe even win some of the new products! You’ll get to see the products themselves as well as lots of completed projects to inspire you.

Here’s the dates and locations of the two events:

  • Tuesday, January 24, at 6:30 pm in Florissant (near the James. S. McDonnell Blvd, Hazelwood), hosted by my friend Kelly
  • Thursday, January 26 at 6:30 pm at my house in Arnold just off of I-55

If you are in the St. Louis area, one of these is probably less than 30 minutes from your house! Just let me know which one you plan to attend and I’ll send you directions and other information.

The theme for both parties will be “Sugar Rush”. This is the name of a fun new paper collection that features sweet treats like donuts and ice cream. It’s been fun brainstorming how to incorporate that that theme into the project, games and of course the snacks. Throughout the night, you’ll have lots of opportunities to earn tickets to a MYSTERY HOSTESS DRAWING! That means that you could win all of the hostess rewards earned that night!

New for 2013: Rebecca’s Creative Club! Joining this virtual club allows you to accumulate your purchases
over 10 month to receive hostes rewards! When you join, you will make a
commitment to other members to place an order of at least $15 each month and we
will schedule a “hostess month” during your 10 month membership period.

In
your hostess month, your virtual “party” will have at least $150 in
orders from other club members which will allow you to select $25 in free
