Avonlea Workshop – December 14

My December workshop will feature the Avonlea papers. This paper is oh so classy and elegant!

The workshop is free to anyone who purchases an Avonlea paper pack or Workshop on the Go from me. It is at my home in Arnold, MO on Friday, December 14 at 6:30 – 11:30 pm. Orders are due by November 30. Click hereto access the order form. You can place your order on my CTMH website or email me a list of what you would like.

If you are not local to the Arnold/St. Louis area, you can still purchase these kits and complete your projects using the included instructional booklet. I’m just a phone call or away if you have any questions along the way.

This month you have three kit choices:

1) Card-making Workshop On The Go – This kit includes the cards/envelopes, paper stamp set, and accessories needed to make 15 beautiful cards. I will also provide directions for creating five additional cards. The only additional supply you need is five card bases and envelopes.

The full kit (including stamp set and all accessories) is $29.95.

You can also purchase a mini-kit that includes everything except the stamp set and ribbon for $12.00. The Bubbles in the WOTG will also be replaced by Pearl Opaques. This mini-kit is perfect if you are planning to finish your cards here using my stamp set or for an add-on if you want more than 15 (or 20) cards.

2) Scrapbooking Workshop On The Go – This kit includes all the papers and accessories you need to make four scrapbook pages. You also receive a full pack of paper, two additional sheets of card stock, an exclusive stamp set, Parlor Velvet Rub-Ons, Opaques Mocha Adhesive Gems, plus a full-color instructional booklet.

You will have papers and other supplies left over for additional projects. All this for just $29.95!

3) Create your own kit! Purchase the Avonlea paper pack plus any accessories to make your own project. The Idea Book has lots of great ideas or maybe you have something else in mind. That is fine! You will still have access to the stamp sets and inks as described below.

During the workshop, you will have access to all of the stamp sets and stamp pads needed to complete your kits. I’ll also have some of the tools available on a first come basis. Please bring your own paper cutter and adhesives.

Click hereto access the order form with these options plus ideas of coordinating items you may be interested in. You can place your order on my CTMH website or email me a list of what you would like.

Avonlea 4th Card – FREE Instructions

In yesterday’s post, I mentioned that I had used the left-overs from the Avonlea Workshop on the Go to create a fourth card. By just adding five cards and envelopes, I was able to stretch the kit to make 20 cards!

New Card-Making Workshops on the Go

One of the convention announcements that I was most excited about is the Card-making Workshops on the Go. There are two beautiful kits to choose from: Avonlea and Pear & Partridge.

Pear & Partridge Card-making Workshop on the Go

Each sets make 15 cards (5 each of 3 designs) and inclues cards, envelopes, papers, embellishments along with an exclusive stamp set. In addition, a full color instruction booklet is included.

This video explains it all…

I just finished making the Avonlea set and am in the process of making the Pear and Partridge cards. The stamp sets that come with these sets are beautiful and very versatile. Before I even started making the kit cards, I pulled out the stamp set to make some cards to finishing off my Florentine papers. It matched the paper perfectly and I posted pictures here and here.

After I finished the Avonlea kit cards, I had enough Avonlea paper left over to design a fourth card. Tomorrow, I will be posting instructions on how to stretch your Avonlea kit to make a total of 20 beautiful cards! All you add to the kit is five cards and envelopes!

If you would like to order either of these card-making kits, just click hereto go to my CTMH shopping website.

Finishing Florentine!

A couple of weeks ago, I told you I was challenging myself to finish up older papers before working with the new stuff. Since then, I have finished up my Florentine paper by making a number of cards. Similar to the cards I showed you last month, I used the Avonlea Workshop On The Go stamp set. Scroll to the bottom of this post for how you can get your hands on this fabulous stamp set.

Here’s a few of my favorite cards. This first card uses Pattern 23 from Make It From Your Heart Volume 1. The rest are my own designs. Most were inspired by the size and shape of the remaining pieces of paper!

This picture of the remains of my Florentine paper proves that I really did get my money’s worth out of this pack.

Oh, look at those beautiful scraps. It is so tempting to try to get just one more card out of them…but no, they have served their purpose and it is time to let them go.

For me, creatively using up the last bits of paper was a very satisfying experience, however I am more than a little sad to say good bye to this beautiful paper. (I’m comforted by the fact that Florentine will continue to live as a current pack in Studio J. But that is for another post, another day.)

I hope that these cards have shown you that, the Avonlea card-making stamp set is full of beautiful images and expressions. It is definitely a keeper and one that I’m sure I’ll turn to time and time again. It is available exclusively in the Avonlea Card-making Workshop On The Go. Along with the set, you get paper, cards and envelopes, ribbon and bubbles to make 15 cards. All of this for just $29.95.

Coming Soon: I’m excited to share with you instructions to make five additional cards by just adding cards and envelopes to the kit contents. Watch for that post coming soon!

Florentine with Avonlea WOTG Stamp

This week, I have been focusing on using up my old paper packs. I am down to just a few crumbs of Florentine, but I am determined to finish them before allowing myself to open any new paper. I did allow myself to get out the new Avonlea Cardmaking Workshop On the Go stamp set. It is a perfect match to the Florentine patterns.
