Share The Love: Hello Phone Card (1 of 3)

Last weekend, I finally had a chance to play with the Share The Love stamp set that is exclusively available in February. Over the weekend I’m going to share with you the three cards I made. The first one today, then another on Saturday and the final card on Sunday.

For all three cards, I choose the Georgie paper. Even though this paper has elements for a baby theme, it has some fun retro designs that I thought worked well with this stamp set.  Today’s card simply says “Hello” and features something today’s kids may not recognize: a rotary phone.

The phone and “Hello” speech bubble were stamped in whisper ink on white cardstock then trimmed out. To add color and dimension, I stamped the phone again on yellow B&T (printed) paper and trimmed out just the dial. Then I layered it on the phone using 3D foam tape. Finally I finished the card off with a splattering of grey gems.

This stamp set is really fun. The images are adorable and the sentiments fit many occasions.

Remember this stamp set is only available in February 2016 and the your purchase can help provide a life-changing operation to a child through Operation Smile. Click HERE to learn more about how your purchase supports this mission.

Be sure  to come back tomorrow to see my next card. Here’s a sneak peek:

A Happy Bloom Skylark Card

Today, I have another Skylark project to share. I love this paper and am so sad that it will retire at the end of the month!

This card is based on the pattern Sweet & Simple from Originals Card Confidence Program by Jeanette Lynton. The Close To My Heart How To books are my go to when I need some inspiration. They are a must on any paper-crafter’s bookshelf.

The leaf and flower were cut on the Cricut using the Artiste cartridge (p. 32 of the handbook). All of the stamping is from the Hello Bloom Acrylix stamp set.

To make the card nice and dimensional, I popped the flower & leaves up with 3D Foam Tape. The flower center is from the Skylark Assortment. So pretty!
