Floral Friendship

I am in love with the For Always paper! It is so beautiful and you can literally add any color to it for extra pop! For the card below, I choose Hollyhock roses and I think it turned out beautiful.

You may recognize the stamp set as Floral Happiness, the March stamp of the month. This stamp set is made up lower and upper layers. Because  the stamps and blocks are clear, you can create beautiful roses by stamping the details over the solid backgound.

After trimming the roses and leaves, I layered them up on the card. I popped the center larger rose with foam tape to add dimension.

To make the roses on my card, I first stamped the Hollyhock backgrounds, then I stamped the details in black aligning the edges of the rose. I did not want to introduce another color to the card for the leaves, so I did both the background and detail in black. To lighten the background of the leaves, I used “second generational stamping”. This is achieved by stamping the image on scrap paper to remove some ink before stamping on the project.

I completed the sentiment from the front of the card on the inside. This rose uses first and second generational stamping.

Don’t forget that this lovely stamp set is only available this month! You can order your copy today on my Close To My Heart website. If you place an order of $50 or more, it is just $5!
