Each Friday in August, I posted about what personal scrapbook pages I had completed. I enjoyed that series and it definitely helped me focus on getting things done. I finished over 20 pages in August which is about 20 more than any prior month. So I’m considering continuing to post weekly about my personal projects. I hope it motivates you to make time for yours as well.
Here’s what I finished this week:
This week I finished 4 pages. I created the first two pages for my Holiday Expressions BINGO night. We had fun trying out the newstencil paper and paste.
The papers aon this layout are from the new Boutique paper collection. The stamping is from the Beautiful Soul (D1798)stamp set which is our new Operation Smile set — $7 of the purchase price for this set goes to this non-profit organization that provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children around the world.
This layout worked well for my daughter’s prom pictures. You may wonder why the picture of her shoes is so prominant. It is actually going to be behind a couple flip flaps that have more formal pictures and a picture of her jumping in these crazy high heels. (No ankles were broken!) Here’s a quick video showing the flip flaps and also a pocket plus with even more photos from that fun afternoon.
This week’s second layout is for a class at the Creative Rendezvous crop this weekend.
This layout was inspired by one created by Andrea Sherman. She was a presenter at our convention and I fell in love with her layout. She generously posted photos and the design space file on her blog, GIRLplusPAPER. I added a few butterflies, more flowers and title from the Artistry and Flower Market Cricut collections.
This layout uses a couple of the pages from the Grateful Heartpaper pack. Even though that collection is generally “fall”, this layout has a great summer feel. In fact, most of the individual patterns on our papers fairly general and can be used for lots of projects that fall outside the overall theme of the collection.
Even though both of these layouts were for “business”, I took the time to find pictures to add so that once the event is over, I can put the completed pages into my scrapbook.
